Live History - A Vision for the Nationaal Historisch Museum
The nation introduces a new and innovative museum, the National Historic Museum in Arnhem, Netherlands. The department of Industrial Design at Eindhoven University of Technology is a leading faculty in research and design on intelligent products and services. This video presents our vision on how visitors may experience the new National Historic Museum.
The museum presents the history of the Netherlands with rich and changing exhibitions using new tools of media and technology. The museum visitors become an active participant in historical events through unconventional and interactive exhibitions. The experience history live!
Museum visitors virtually explore the history through interaction and experience on historical objects, events and documentaries. Visitors use handheld multimedia guide to explore the exhibitions. The museum guide is the visitor’s passport to access the rich historical information offered both in and out of the museum.This video was first shown at the NHM's New Technology Conference on October 28th, 2009 at the ING House, Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
